All-Iraqi effort during historic election

In 2010, the Iraq Air Force surged flight operations in support of national Iraqi elections, marking the first all-Iraqi intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance effort in support of an Iraq election. Former Interim Prime Minister Allawi won the election by a close margin over the incumbent, Prime Minister Maliki.
